VARIETIES : 100% Viognier
YIELD : 55 hl/ha
NUMBER OF BOTTLES : 24 000 b.

HISTORY AND VINEYARD :
"Baies Dorées" (golden berries) : A tribute to the Viognier grape variety. Originating from wild Rhône vines, Viognier berries display an amber / golden colour when reaching optimal maturity.
We have selected vines planted on beautiful clay-silt soils with excellent sunshine exposition. The hot and dry climate ensures healthy maturation of the grapes.

VINIFICATION AND MATURATION :
Harvest Grapes are harvested at peak maturity early in the morning. Gentle pneumatic pressing. Strict cold settling at 10°C for 48 hours before alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 15 days at temperatures of 18° to 20°C. No malolactic fermentation to preserve the freshness and primary fruit aromas. Bottled in March following the year of the harvest, after tangential filtration.

TASTING NOTES:
" Aromatic and Round"
Colour – Clear yellow with green tinges.
Nose –The bouquet offers a unique aromatic range including citrus flowers, exotic fruits, apricots, white-fleshed stone fruit and jasmine.
Palate –Intensely fruity and well balanced. At once mouth-filling and fat which works in harmony with the flavours of exotic fruit and toasted brioche.

FOOD AND WINE MATCHING :
Serve at 11 °C.
Serve as an aperitif or enjoy with toasted goat’s cheese on a bed of mesclun, carpaccio of tuna, white asparagus with hollandaise sauce, brandade de morue, fillet of sole in lemon butter, chicken and green olive ragout, a cheese platter.

VINTAGE :
2017 : A good year with low yields. With beautiful rich sugar and deep colours, the red wines are powerful, round and balanced. Whites and rosés are fat, full-bodied and have kept good freshness.
2016 : An exceptional year. The reds are aromatic, powerful, round, fine and balanced, while the whites display freshness, unctuosity, full body and great length.
